美村民歌手兼曲作家John Prine於2018行了他的第18音室《The Tree of Forgiveness》，成亮眼，不得到的佳，在告示牌民及村分得第1、2名，此首《Knockin' on Your Screen Door》即收在此中。而憾的是，此也是John Prine生前的最後一。

Prine被泛是在他的年代具有重大影的曲作家之一，2017被威音「石」「作曲界的克吐 ( Mark Twain )」。Prine以於情、生活及事的幽默歌、以及有社批判的歌曲和有人想起他生活中的故事而名。依文得主Bob Dylan的法，Prine的素材是「粹的Proustion 存在主」 ( Proustion法「意流」作家，其最知名的作品《追似水年》，而存在主的先人物尼采克果，不知者何？)，在美中西部的心之旅也到了度 (nth degree)，同他出如此人、美好的歌曲……，像在《Sam Stone》中退伍人毒品君子的爸爸，在《Donald and Lydia》中他在10哩以外的地方做 ( 按：其是幻想自慰 )，些除了Prine，有人得出。

1998，Prine的右部罹患了「胞癌」，手和化後一年的和言健，然仍可唱歌，但音得沙。2013，再接受左肺癌胞切除手，藉由不常的力 ( 在家跑梯 )，半年後再次巡演出。2020，Prine才又得一座「身成就」的葛美 ( 包含身後2座，共5座 )，因不COVID-19病毒所引起的症而世，享年73。

是一首快奏的民歌，一孤、的人的角度了悲的信息，他唯一的是村歌手 George Jones 的 8 磁 ( 卡匣式音？)。
