60年代初期，民歌手Bob Dylan所作的歌曲像是《Blowing In The Wind》等，深具社批判意味，很快的就被民及反的代言人，但他自己不以然。
1963及1964年，Bob Dylan次加了新港民音 ( Newport Folk Festival )，都是演唱民歌曲。但到了1965年，Bob Dylan抱著吉他 ( ) 上唱了三首歌，由於的民音界於的出盛行普遍感到不，故台下是不。而Dylan最後唱的即是此首《It's All Over Now，Baby Blue》，然是要台下支持民的再，此要走他自己喜的音路。果不其然，自1965之後，Bob Dylan就再也有踏上新港民音的演唱舞台。
翻唱此曲的和歌手也有不少，像是The Byrds、The Animals、Them ( 奇怪，怎都是英？)………，包含被猜Baby Blue人物的Dylan的情人---民皇后Joan Baez。
以下所The Animals的版本，主唱Eric Burdon仍是一的英式唱腔，但我想可能有些人不。 哈哈！
：Dylan的此把Fender Stratocaster吉他於年音後即失。2012年，一位住西州的女Dawn Peterson保有把吉他，此吉他年被留在私人上，而其父，曾理而未回。
在DylanPeterson私下解了把吉他的法律後，此吉他於2013公拍，出的格965仟美元。
