此曲美村歌手Dolly PartonPorter Wagoner所合及唱，收在1974的《Porter 'n' Dolly》中。自1968至1980，人共合出13，其中共有21首入榜曲，而此首《Please Don't Stop Loving Me》是人合作唯一的一首冠曲。
1967，Dolly Parton受邀加入Porter Wagoner的，每定期出在Porter主持的目及各地的巡演中，Dolly也因繁的露而提高了她的知名度，Porter是Dolly演事的「提者」也不。但由於Dolly逐的「大尾」( 例如她人在 1970及1973分以《Joshua》、《Jolene》得村榜的冠 )，想在目中替自己取更多的空，免犯了Porter的，於在7年後DollyPorter的自展。前，Porter要求Dolly再一首歌，因此Dolly了首《I will Always Love You》，此曲分在1974及1982度替Dolly下村榜的冠。18年後的1992，Whitney Houston ( 惠妮休斯 ) 她和Kevin Costner ( 文科斯 ) 所主演的影「The Bodyguard ( 台：保 )」翻唱此曲，不在29家地排行榜拿下第一名，也替Whitney得了座葛美。
