此曲美村歌手Hank Locklin自自唱，首於1949以78唱片行。1957再以曲重新行，在告示牌「Most Played C&W by Jockeys」榜得第5名，同也跨越至「流行榜」( # 77 )。此曲的歌名有些含混不清，1949的原始版本和其後的版本偶歌名《Send Me the Pillow That You Dream On》，因此句始都出在歌中，但大多版本都使用「短」歌名。

翻唱此曲的知名歌手多，有Connie Francis、Loretta Lynn、Dolly Parton、Skeeter Davis等等，但在台的中，年的似乎是Johnny Tillotson 的版本(1962)，此版本在村及流行榜分得第11及第17名。以下另Heather Myles的演唱版 ( 歌有些化 )，一直得Heather的歌喉於，影音的2022年，Heather已60了，中然有些衰退，但音反而更柔和好。

歌的Hank Locklin情的憧憬的很想，不要是喜女生做的香枕，就算只是方送的一手帕或是一布小玩偶，都足以睡放在枕做香甜的美了。可惜的是歌曲的男主角有如此的想法要求，而看方是有想要理他。
