此首《We're All Alone》美男歌手兼曲作家的Boz Scaggs所，收在他1976的《Silk Degrees》中，作另首曲《Lido Shuffle》的B面行，此曲在美、英排行榜分得第11及第13名。在澳洲，此曲另首《Lowdown》作A面行，但也只得到第54名(1977)。

此曲行之後，受到了不少的注意，也即有多位的翻唱者，像是原四季合唱的Frankie Valli、美流行合唱The Walker Brothers、美黑人女子合唱 The Three Degrees 等等，而真正首歌唱的，是美女歌手Rita Coolidge於1977推出的版本。

Rita Coolidge事後回，她在A&M唱片公司，感像是在一家庭，常去位老的房串子。某日在公司合夥人Jerry Moss的公室，Moss告她Boz Scaggs出了的事，其中的首《We're All Alone》非常合女生唱，Rita Coolidge的版本於焉生。在告示牌代成人榜得了冠，在榜拿下了第7名；另在英排行榜第6名。

1970，Rita Coolidge在洛杉遇到了知名的歌手兼曲作家Kris Kristofferson，果人竟然是搭同班，Kris Kristofferson原本是要到Nashville，但了Rita Coolidge，提前陪同在Memphis下。招害，果然因此得了Rita Coolidge的芳心，人在1973理。Rita Coolidge在1974及1976得了座葛美，而都是夫婿合唱。人育有一女，之後在1980。2004，Rita Coolidge嫁了一位日本教授Tatsuya Suda。
