此曲美黑人歌手兼曲作家及作人的Larry Williams所，於1958唱行。有趣的是，此曲的和旋律、甚至在歌名上，另位黑人歌手Little Richard也同是在1958推出的《Good Golly, Miss Molly》有些雷同 ( 其「12小」的曲，在味上都差不多。)。而Larry Williams和Little Richard在生活中也是年的好友，包含了同物成的「毒友」。
1977，Larry Williams拿了把找上了Little Richard，因Little Richard之前他那拿了毒品未付 ( 可能推拖不出面 )，在威之下，Little Richard然是「毒」清，Larry Williams也因而未他。此事件，Little Richard是有所悟，而始行「重生」，Larry Williams在他的「黑暗世界」沉。1980，Larry Williams被在家中，部有口，然尚有多疑，但仍被定自身亡，享年44。
自1957─1959，Larry Williams有多首典的歌曲，然是有受到他的大粉John Lennon其他「英入侵」之加持的影。60年代中期，The Beatles就翻唱了Larry Williams的三首歌 ( 另首《Slow Down》《Bad Boy》)，也因The Beatles的翻唱，使得此首《Dizzy, Miss Lizzy》成了知名的流行曲。
