美女子The Bangles ( 手 )於1980在洛杉成立，最初的成Susanna HoffsVicki & Debbi Peterson姐妹花，之 後才有Bass手的加入。
出了首曲和一迷你 ( EP ) 之後，至1984，The Bangles於行了一完整的《All Over The Place》，其中的《Hero Takes a Fall》以及翻唱自Katrina and the Waves的《Going Down To Liverpool》，都得到不的，尤其是後者的音影，由在《星迷航》中演史巴克的Leonard Nimoy之跨刀演出 ( 由是Hoffs和Nimoy家朋友 )。些引起了知名歌手和音人Prince ( 王子 ) 的注意，而主The Bangles，要提供歌曲她。

果王子The Bangles的就是此首《Manic Monday》。而此首歌原本是要也是女子Apollonia 6的，甚至都已音完成，但在最後一刻，是被王子拉了下。在歌界，王子提供此首歌The Bangles，是得Susanna Hoffs「陪睡」的回，但此然未能得。依「Who's Dated Who」站的料，Susanna Hoffs和王子在1986有交往。2016，王子因度使用亦造成的止痛Fentanyl ( 芬太奴 ) 而意外死亡，享年57。
此首《Manic Monday》收在The Bangles 的第2《Different Light》( 1986 ) 中，然此在美共有4首入榜歌曲，而《Manic Monday》在美、英均得第2名的佳，是The Bangles最知名的代表作。
