此曲美歌手Eddie Cochran自自唱，1958得告示牌排行榜第8名，在英曲排行榜第18名。

Eddie Cochran也是自小就喜音，除了自「」吉他，在校也加。16，和另一位吉他手Hank Cochran ( 人戚 ) 共二重唱，但在隔年就散夥了，接著始事歌的工作。Eddie Cochran真正始出名是因了1956的影《The Girl Can't Help It》( 中：春得意 )，在片中演自己，演唱自己的歌《Twenty Flight Rock》← ( 此曲年15的Paul McCartney被介John Lennon，John Lennon唱的第一首歌。 )。



套用在的，Eddie Cochran算是位「大哥」。1957，又再演出他的第2部影《Untamed Youth》。之後，推出包含此首《Summertime Blues》在的多首曲，於露角，成了炸子。1960，Eddie Cochran赴英巡演唱，在搭程遇上事故，竟意外身亡，只有21。刺的是，Eddie Cochran了向在1959因失事，意外身亡的朋友Buddy Holly等三人致敬，了首《Three Stars》，歌曲尚未行，就也上了自己 ( 老天的玩笑也真的是得太大了 )。1987，Eddie Cochran得推入了名人堂。
