If you could ask a famous person one question, what would you ask? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.
I want to ask the creator of the peanuts, Charles Schulz, one question that would be, “What event happened in your childhood affected you the most?” The reasons why I ask this question because I think that would be connected to his famous comic.
Firstly, the peanuts have many interesting roles and the funny plots, some of them not only draw for fun but also make people to think about something seriously. For example, there is an episode that Snoopy, the Charles Brown’s puppy, brings his friends to the memorial of the historic heritage of the World War II processors left. When reading this section, I feel confused because this is not funny but sorrow, and it is unusually to watch this sort of plot in familiar comics. I can not help to infer that Schulz may have real experience in the war period so he arranged this material into his comic.
Moreover, the roles of the peanuts are typical American children, but their logic not similar to the same age children, and sometimes they seem to a little more mature than the common ones. For instance, a plot makes me impression most is the teacher ask Brown to read a big book, War and Peace. I wonder to understand why Schulz made this difficult book be read by children in his comic. Was the book meaningful to him?
In summary, I am sure that Schulz’s childhood must have an important affection to him work and that was also the origin idea came from. Thus, I want to ask Schulz this question to share his childhood memory with me.
