and there serving up traditional Himalayan dishes ..

They have a private back patio and a beautiful inside dining room,

 the fact that Gurkha is inside of an actual house

 you get that intimate dining experience a lot of restaurants can't offer. 


Great food and atmosphere comes together in a Nirvana like euphoria.


Taas~ spicy lamb with dry rice..$8  love this dish so much!! 

  • Taas: Special Nepali snack prepared with grilled lean lamb meat, 
  • cucumber and spices. Servedwith puffed and beaten rice mix

Himalayan Chicken$15

  • Himali Chicken: Spice-marinated boneless chicken cooked and simmered 
  • in rich creamy tomato sauce

The basmati rice was so aromatic and rich in flavor, 

perfectly completed by the chicken and lamb curry.



  • Salmon Poleko: Marinated, pan-grilled salmon, served with sautéed spinach and cucumber salad
  • $15

The cold potato salad as I call it or Aalu Achaar as it's properly

 known as was a delish Indian inspired potato salad garnished with lemon juice, mustard oil and mixed with Himalayan herbs. 

I really liked this potato salad and it was the mustard oil

that made the difference,

 it added a nice bright flavor to the potato salad.


Nepali Roti$2

I had never tried Nepalese/Himalayan cuisine before so

 I don't have much to compare.

But what I can tell you, is that it was one of the best meals

I've had in a while.


Gurkha has only been open for a few months, and the service is pretty slow.

 If you're in a hurry, you'll be frustrated.

 If you have time, just sit back and enjoy the great food.

 I'm already looking forward to my next dining experience

and some more of those delicious momos!
