威任奇公司行20年,打造奇奇,咸「世理人」,因他不望,奇新局。他在退休前七年始找接班人,下四件:接班人必是公司同仁同的袖;竭力消除遴程中的人事;董事;接班人要年,至少能做十年,以承策的期影。
他要董事,是希望在制度下遴接班人。慈禧太后以人意志治,史「垂政」。童故事「野仙」的可怕巫,本尊是躲在布幔後的瘦小男子。巫事露,叫大家「不要理窗後面那人」(Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.),去掉「不」字,就成「要人看清事情本」。
物色人 看清本
接班攸全局,子兵法始篇:「可之死,可之生,民不也。」可用以形容接班交棒的候,要找出人心所附的人主政。因此光不的人(all show and no go)不出,董事要看清事本,法出最佳人(Discerning eyes can tell greatness from mediocrity. )。
例:”Pay attention to that man behind the curtain! What they don’t want you to look at are the secrets that need to be revealed.” 「他千方百遮掩事情的真相,因此大家要小心求。」
”The appointing committee has chosen a candidate as chief executive officer. They have the discerning eyes to tell greatness from mediocrity.”「遴委明智地出新任行。」
奇接班程 威不容
威接班人初名共有23人,四年後只剩八位。17的不下,最後只剩三位接班人。每人效出,也都和威有深厚交情,手心手背都是肉(It is like choosing between the flesh on the back of my hand versus the flesh on the palm of my hand.),在以抉。
但威仍向董事推其中一人,伊梅特最後於而出,成接班人。伊梅特接棒後,其人公司,一位去掌3M,一位去掌波音,都有很好的出,落者不一定要屈就同一公司。古廉妒嫉相如,放要羞辱他。,後廉知道情,罪(to eat his words or to eat crow ),佳。人相和(put their differences aside and work toward the common goal),自此廉不再掣肘(hamstringing),以上都符合威接班程不能有人事的原。
例:”Lien Bo knew he was wrong in saying those things,so he went to Lin Xian-Ru and ate crow.” 「廉自知理,於是向相如罪。」
”Lin Xian-Ru hoped that he and Lin Bo will put aside all of their differences and work together toward the common goal.” 「相如衷心期待廉通力合作,一致外。」
”The financial chief executive is ham-stringing the new CEO in implementing an unconventional program.” 「主管新老的新施政不太配合。」
春秋候,毛遂人(haven’t made a name for himself),必自我推才能出。威安排人才而出的境,不毛遂自,自有活的拔制,挖掘人才。
到出,美小棒球教安排手,安排差的任左外野手,因打到的安打少,所以「左外野打出一片天」(you have come out in left field),等於中文十年寒窗人,一成名天下知,「至名」的意思。
例:”We don’t care if you haven’t made a name for yourself. If you are good, we want you.” 「然你名不,如果你有真才料,我就用你。」
落政策 必久任
”You have come out in left field, no one expected you to be a good sales rep-resentative.” 「有人料到你的好,你用力明大家都看走眼了。」
威接班最後一原,是接班人要能久任,以落政策,不能易被倒。五代期,道佐四姓三君,四朝宰相,局如何,他能安然度。政治不倒翁(political tumbler),是能「屹立不」(land on their feet)。
例:”John has been able to hold onto his job even though three of his bosses have come and gone. He always manages to land on his feet.”「了三老,翰的位子仍不如山,他就是有法危。」
