Primary Function of Position:
COMPANYNAME designs and manufactures highly complex surgical systems (including instruments and accessories) for use in surgery. A comprehensive ecosystem is another key of the success of our surgical system. We are looking for a high energy, talented individual to contribute broadly to the digital solution of our robotic surgical system. The Software Test Engineer (Digital) role is responsible for verification, validation and documentation of PRODUCTNAME digital ecosystem software for China market.
Roles and Responsibilities:
An ideal candidate is an independent and fast-paced software engineer with excellent hands-on problem-solving skills, and open to incorporating new learnings & ideas in an iterative and collaborative design process.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work closely with the software development and infrastructure engineering teams to review design requirements and determine the best methods to ensure design outputs are successfully integrated into effective software system designs
Build up team’s software test capability, manage the priorities, and provide hands on technical support to development engineers
Develop test methodologies to perform manual or automated software verification
Lead software documentation for test plan, protocols, results and reports, complete tracing for all software requirements and design
Assist in analysis of test and field data, identify non-conformance trends and performance bottlenecks (server response time, throughput, network latency, database, etc), generate concise executive summaries, recommend design improvements and identify problems at an early stage.
Provide engineering support for resolution of operation and field issues
Support the quality and regulatory processes asrequired
Other reasonable assigned duties.
Skill/Job Requirements:
Profound experience with development of tests at module and system level
Profound experience with debugging software and test automation frameworks
Proven experience in a fast paced, high transaction environment providing solutions throughout the entire software product lifecycle
Hands-on engineering with the proven ability to work well in a team environment
Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools and effective peer review techniques
Experience with designing software products in an NMPA or other regulated industry or for mission critical applications is a plus; comfort with concepts of design input, design output, traceability, and risk analysis
Experience with cyber security test is a plus
Experience with usability test is a plus
Proficient in written and verbal English
Experience working in global teams across time zones
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred
5+ years of proven experience and accomplishments in the appropriate engineering discipline
