About the Team:

Marketplace Promotion Web Frontend team is responsible for the frontend development for Shopee’s e-commerce web platforms. We focus on user-facing features (for both buyers and sellers), as well as, internal platforms used by our operators. We design stable and scalable architecture to support Shopee’s fast business growth. Shopee serves millions of users, and we seek to push the limit of web technologies. We continuously innovate to build internal state-of-the-art engineering solutions.

Job Description:

• Take ownership of various business features at Shopee
• Give constructive feedback on product requirements, deliver tasks on time, provide - positive user experiences
• Contribute to the technical excellence of the team
• Write clean and maintainable code, conduct thorough and candid code reviews
• Participate in various internal technical projects and give technical sharing sessions
• Make development plans, coordinate across different projects and tasks
• Optimise development workflow, improve development efficiency and quality
• Coach and mentor junior engineers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science or related fields
• More than 3 years of experience in frontend development
• Good understanding of computer science fundamentals, including but not limited to algorithm, data structure, and network
• Good understanding of web frontend fundamentals, including but not limited to Javascript, HTML, CSS, and Browsers
• Good understanding of user experience

Good to have

• Experience in React
• Experience in TypeScript
• Prior experience in a complex engineering project
• Experience in frontend engineering, using automated tools to develop, test and deploy the systems
• Deep understanding in at least one of the popular front end frameworks, e.g. ReactJS, Vue
