What can you tell your friends when they ask you what you do?

App Annie is on microservice architecture, and in the process of building a unified data warehouse. I worked for the fundamental part of microservice architecture, and we're building the foundation of services based on unified data warehouse. It’s so challenging because I'm dealing with business on Petabytes of data and serving the customer needs from different industries. It's so important because the whole App Annie delivery stack is built on top of my work.

How will you be doing this?

Design and build the microservices of App Annie to support business. Including but not limited to: authentication & permission, data queries & aggregations, parallelisms, cache, microservice framework & libraries etc.
Design and build reusable utils and tools to drive high development efficiency of the organization.
Optimize the end-to-end performance of microservices architecture.
Monitor the health of microservices and troubleshoot to solve production issues.
Create and maintain high quality design documents.
Maintain a good working relationship and collaborate with different teams effectively.
Become better at what you do every day.
What will you bring to the team?

3+ years experience in web backend development.
Experience in the following areas is a plus: microservice architecture; web development framework (e.g. Django / Flask); Python; OOD (Object-Oriented-Design); UML etc.
Familiarity with RDBMS and at least one NoSQL database. Familiarity with DB query optimization is a big plus.
Experience with framework or reusable component design is a big plus.
Contributing to open source projects is a big plus.
Understanding of high availability, scalability and concurrency management.
Very strong capacity of problem analysis and solving.
Fluent English is a plus.
