MTS1, Software Engineer (Altus)
We create and maintain an internal platform which delivers one stop shop dev experience for eBay developers.
We are looking for top tier full-stack software engineers to join us in building this internal platform. You'll need to build everything from a smooth web UI to the backend microservices in container and spec modeling at the heart of our system. Our system must be capable of handling millions of requests with >99% API reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Work with product manager and fellow engineers to implement and build browser-based web applications and services for eBay developers on eBay cloud (including Java, Node.js, and Go), while interfacing with MySQL and modern NoSQL databases, and existing internal RESTful services.
Analyze and improve the speed, efficiency, scalability, stability, availability, and security of the customer facing applications.
Write professional code: test-driven, well documented, modular code that can live and evolve.
Work with stakeholders and partners inside eBay to understand business needs and help design solutions, from simple API to full fledged application, end-to-end.
Skill Requirements
Work experiences in software design and application development using container technology.
Experiences in developing container based application, distributed systems, and consumer web applications.
Hands-on experiences and expertise in modern languages and tools, e.g., Java, Go, HTML/CSS/JS/Node, Spring, React(Redux)/Angular/Vue, AntD/Bootstrap/SemanticUI.
Dev/Ops and customer first mindset.
Experience in requirement analysis, UX prototyping, sketching, font/color/layout knowledge, is a big plus.
Familiar with k8s in both operation and development.
