HushHush founder Aaron Harpin said: “ A price glitch on our site offering a helicopter at 99.9% off the asking price has been highlighted by a number of consumer deals websites and the resulting volume of traffic has actually caused our website to crash!

“ This was clearly a technical mistake in the indexing of the product, and while we unfortunately won ’ t be able to honour any purchases made at this price, it ’ s no surprise it started to fly off the shelf. For 550 though, I ’ m not even sure you ’ d be able to buy a model toy of this particular helicopter!

“ We sell thousands of luxury items from furniture and artworks to supercars, islands and helicopters on HushHush.com and while the site is still down, we ’ re working as fast as we can to rectify this and be up and running again as soon as we can. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.”
