Job Description
As a Frontend Engineer on the Digital Foundry Shanghai team, you will design + build responsive and elegant frontend applications (running on GE Predix).
Responsibilities
Design and build high-quality frontend applications that are performant, reusable, responsive and maintainable
Take ownership of significant features (or even the entire web application frontend)
Collaborate with UX Designers to translate their design wireframes into compelling web interfaces for visualizing,
manipulating, and analyzing industrial data
Collaborate with Backend Engineers to define and access RESTful interfaces in Predix's microservice architecture
Participate in an iterative engineering model based on Lean Startup, with short cycles and automated testing + deployment
Own the world-class quality and reliability of your code, using code review and comprehensive testing
Bring knowledge, best practices, and passion to the team
Be the type of person you'd want to work with
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of hands-on experience in an Agile team as a Frontend or Full-stack Engineer
Expertise optimizing frontend application performance + responsiveness
Experience in data visualization (SVG, D3, Canvas, WebGL)
Experience with NodeJS (Express, Koa)
Experience with Frontend Testing (Unit Tests, E2E Tests)
Languages: ES2015, ES-Next, TypeScript, CoffeeScript
Frameworks (expertise in at least 1): React, Vue, Angular 2, Polymer
Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with CloudFoundry is a big plus
Tools: Git, Jenkins, npm, webpack
Dev Environment: Mac + Linux
