[远程] [外企 contractor] PostgreSQL DBA 工程师

Project description/-goal:
The goal of the project is to provide support Commerce Saas and customers migrating from Azure SQL to PostgreSQL.

Scope of Task - The external contractor takes on the following tasks within the project, which are carried out independently:
Design and implement solutions to support, operate and manage the entire fleet of our databases much more efficiently.
Provide solutions and representation for complex problems internally and in front of the customers.
Provide recommendations and assistance to customers in resolving issues and performance bottlenecks.
Analyze performance test results and provide database related recommendations
Partner with other teams to define product enhancements/ specific issue resolutions etc.
Continuous improvement of existing processes and standards.
Participate in documenting technical solutions and improving our processes.
Work on designing and implement automations to reduce manual intervention for database related manual maintenance/ reporting activities.

Requirement
Several years of professional experience as a Database Architect or Database Engineer.
Strong expertise in database management and data maintenance using SQL Server or Azure SQL or PostgreSQL.
Proficient in SQL Server/ Azure SQL / PostgreSQL administration, including backup and recovery procedures and database security.
Strong expertise and proficiency with database performance tuning is a must.
Expertise and proficiency with scripting languages/automation.
Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
Strong experience working on a cloud platform particularly MS Azure or AWS.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and across a dispersed team.
Expertise with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Extremely customer oriented and background in customer consulting would be advantageous.
Experience with other databases in addition to SQL Server and PostgreSQL will be considered an asset.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Fluency in English.

- 必须具备数据库性能调优方面的丰富专业知识并熟练掌握。
- 精通脚本语言/自动化。
- 出色的问题解决和调试技能。
- 具有在云平台（尤其是 MS Azure 或 AWS ）上工作的丰富经验。
- 出色的沟通和协作技能，能够有效地与客户和分散的团队合作。
- 精通持续集成和部署的 DevOps 实践和工具。
- 能够在最少的监督下独立工作。
- 以客户为导向，有客户咨询背景者更佳。
- 除 SQL Server 和 PostgreSQL 外，具有其他数据库方面的经验也将被视为一项优势。
- 计算机科学、工程或相关专业的学士学位（或同等工作经验）。
- 英语流利。
